The Accounts Receivable Team Leader reports to the AR Manager and is responsible for supervising the work of Collection Analysts. The purpose of this role is to manage the day-to-day activities of the Collection team, ensuring that all activities are performed in accordance with agreed policies and procedures. Responsibilities also include tracking issues and maintaining quality metrics, following up for resolution and driving improvements.
- Supports and develops the team through regular communication, planning, coaching and performance reviews
- Plans, organizes and assumes responsibility for the quality and timeliness of the collection team’s work;
- Oversees new employee onboarding and training to ensure their structured integration into the team
- Plans and allocates resources to effectively accomplish AR objectives including month-end, quarter-end closes etc.
- Proactively improves the quality of collection through identification and resolution of issues and continuous improvement of the process;
- Monitors, interprets and reports team key performance indicators
- Works with billing team and order management to resolve errors / issues
- Conducts team meetings to ensure timely and regular opportunities to discuss team-wide issues
- Works with AR manager and colleagues to ensure continuous improvement on AR policies and processes
- Builds and maintains effective relationships with Business Unit Managers from North America
- Master's Degree in Economy / Finance /Accounting
- Excellent English
- Minimum 4 years AR or Accounting experience, preferably in multinational organization and/or SSC environment
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Process-oriented with solid problem-solving and analytical skills
- Sense of urgency & ability to follow through on commitments
- Make decisions using sound judgment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work 2nd shift hours due to cooperation with USA
- Ability to multi task & work independently
- Advanced in MS Excel with basic knowledge in other MS applications
- Knowledge in Oracle a plus
