Eastern European Investment Management group of companies is located in Gdansk and operates internationally with main business activities being holding of shares (stakes) in Polish companies, acquisition of distressed financial assets and their further restructuring and collection, and issue of loans to Polish companies. We are looking for an accountant to take over full accounting function from an outsourced Big-6 audit/accounting company who is now doing accounting for us.

Job description
- Run day-to-day accounting activities for one or several companies of the group, incl. payroll and tax;
- Create and submit financial statements under Polish accounting standards;
- Assist shareholders and management in resolving current issues and queries of Polish authorities;
- Administrate bank accounts, i.e. create payments to be signed by management;
- Summarize accounting data for the production of tables, charts, and graphs;
- Recover, present, analyze and comment historic data for audit purposes or in other specific cases.
Requirements
- A graduate in Accounting/ Economics or similar, or a subject with a high accounting content;
- Advanced knowledge of Polish accounting standards and tax regulations;
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail;
- Upper Intermediate or higher level of spoken and written English is a Must – most communications will be in English;
- Advanced proficiency in Excel;
- Strict adherence to deadlines is vital.
PRIMARY LOCATION
Poland, Gdansk
Please note that position is home-based: you will be required to work from home or your own offices; our office is located in Al. Grunwadzka 411 in Gdańsk, but it is used primarily for meetings and storage of documentation.
SCHEDULE
Full-time, flexible working hours.
