Job Description:
- Supporting global infrastructure environment
- Daily Operation Management: logfile analysis and backup review and planning
- Scripting and task automation
- Multi-technology troubleshooting
- Proactive and strategic (re)design of the IT landscape
- Capacity planning
- Documentation
Candidate's profile:
- Experience in supporting global infrastructure environment
- Strong knowledge of at least one OS, good knowledge of the other:
- RedHat Linux
- Windows 2003/2008/2008R2
- Experience with SQL Server 2005/2008/2008R2 (installation, maintenance, performance tuning)
- Knowledge of virtualization concepts, primary focus on VMware technologies
- Understanding of general backup and storage concepts:
- Symantec NetBackup
- Network Appliance (NetApp)
- Basic knowledge of networks, IPv4 (addressing, subnetting, routing)
- Knowhow of management tools (e.g. WSUS, HPSIM, SEP)
- Team player
- "Can do" attitude
- Good English language skills
