- Incident and problem management
- Monitoring of servers, filesystems, CPU/memory utilization
- Patching and upgrading of Operating System
- Configuration and maintenance of HA (Sun Cluster / RedHat Cluster Server) and distributed computing (HIVE) environments
- Preparing and executing infrastructure related changes
- Backup support and troubleshooting
- Installation of application packages and configuration files
- Root cause analysis for reported issues and problems
- Support for hardware activities (failed components replacements, hardware upgrades)
- Application performance issues troubleshooting
- Local accounts management (creation, unlocking, permissions)
- Maintenance of servers’ configuration data collection (CMDB)
- Capacity management (reporting high memory/cpu/filesystem usage to AMs, supporting application data growth data collection)
- Support for new projects related to infrastructure and/or new application environments
- Assisting with DR activities, both for infrastructure and application tasks/duties
- Providing end of month and end of year assistance to application support teams
- Technical education
- Deep knowledge of operating system OS Windows 2008-2016
- Knowledge of current Windows Server Hardware (Dell, HP, IBM)
- Strong knowledge of VMWare and Citrix
- Strong MS SQL Server / SQL DB and MS Windows Cluster skills
- Knowledge of Windows authentication concept, including Active Directory
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, Print service, File service
- Hands on experience with SCCM toolset
- Willingness to work with multiple technologies (Database, Operating System, Middleware)
- Knowledge of Process Management Best Practices (example ITIL) and related tooling (HP SM, HP OVO, REMEDY)
