Philips Finance Operations (FinOps) drives the core of the finance operations by focusing on 4 domains: Record to Report, Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, Rule Based Controlling; process harmonization and quality control. We manage and coordinate front office service delivery, ensure consistent implementation of global processes, and regional standardization across businesses by focusing on driving the right process quality metrics.
Your challenge:
As VAT Expert you will be part of Philips Finance Operations (FinOps) organization. You will be responsible for VAT coordination and compliance within organization; performing VAT activities required by corporate directives and policies and supporting internal/external audits.
As VAT Expert you will be responsible for VAT coordination, including:
- VAT activities required by corporate directives and policies
- VAT review and approval for assigned countries
- Supervision and support of the employees of External Service Provider in the area of VAT
- Ongoing cooperation with the Country Tax Manager in terms of preparing documentation for tax audits
- Cooperation with external and internal counter parties within VAT function
- Support of internal and external audits
- Analysis and preparation of Withholding Tax, preparation of the excise duty and collecting data to Transfer Pricing Documentation. Calculation of property tax
- Calculation of Tax hedging. The free of charge disposal for VAT purposes. Sending of the Intrastat reports to the relevant authorities
- Monitor the performance of external service provided guides and takes corrective actions. Support audits with documents and processes descriptions
- Executes Internal Controls over VAT process
We are looking for people with:
- A Bachelor degree in Finance or equivalent is required
- Fluency in Polish and English (both oral and written) is required
- At least 3 years of progressive work experience in managing VAT compliance on a country level
- Up to standard knowledge of VAT directive
- SAP knowledge (FI, CO module) is as must
- IFRS knowledge will be an asset
- Ability to effectively prioritize and organize workload, multi-task is essential
- Ability to effectively influence and collaborate with colleagues from various disciplines
- Highly developed analytical capabilities, with a strong business and customer sense
- Effective listening and communication skills, highly developed interpersonal skills
