UX Designer

We are looking for a user-experience designer responsible for translating finance application user interface requirements into sitemaps, wireframes and prototypes. You will also design the overall experience, navigation and consitency of our growing portfolio of products and iterate upon them to ensure a great and intuitive user experience.

Ultimately, you will make our products consitent, more user-friendly and intuitive to help attract and retain customers.

• Responsible for UX across our growing portfolio of finance applications.
• Translate concepts into wireframes and mock-ups that lead to intuitive user experiences.
• Facilitate the product owners’ visions by researching, conceiving, prototyping, user experiences for our finance application products.
• Design and deliver wireframes, sketches, user journeys and workflows, navigation, site-maps and mock-ups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
• Design intuitive ways to navigate and convey complex financial information and data.
• Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions.
• Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features.
• Take a user-centred design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs.
• Work with our UI Designer to implement attractive, brand consistent designs.
• Think technically and collaborate with technologists to consider the benefits, possibilities and constraints of coding languages, frameworks and platforms.
• Work with the Scrum Masters to support estimation and planning to ensure delivery is on time / on budget and identify potential risks.
• Own, develop and maintain our user interface guidelines and standards.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills, attributes & experience:

• Proven experience as a UX Designer, or similar role.
• Strong portfolio of design projects.
• Expertise in UX software such as Balsamiq, InVision, UXPin, etc., and ideally with HTML and CSS.
• Ability to work with product owners and our finance advisory team to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet our product needs and vision.
• Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and an understanding of responsive design.
• Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture
• A solid grasp of user-centred design and testing methodologies, and usability and accessibility concerns.
• Ability to iterate your designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to stakeholders and development teams.
• Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism.
• Structured and organised, but able to be flexible with changing priorities, and juggle multiple projects and timelines when required.
• Be passionate about all things UX and other areas of design and innovation. Research and showcase knowledge in the industry’s latest trends and technologies.
• Analytical and problem solving mindset with a business acumen.
• Experience in designing the UX for modern finance applications would be advantageous.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
