- Management of physical and virtual Solaris and Linux Servers (focus on Linux)
- Deep Expertise in Red Hat Linux version 6 & 7
- Management of Linux virtualization solutions like RHV (KVM)
- Designing high-availability solutions, failover and DR concepts
- Expertise in Linux clustering products e.g. Pacemaker
- Development of cluster resource agents
- Development of application monitoring agents
- Project consulting with respect to Backoffice Applications, especially Calypso products
- Installation and configuration of middleware & messaging services (RH JBoss , IBM MQ, Message broker & MQFTE, Tomcat, Apache, Oracle Applicaton Server, Weblogic)
- OS configuration and tuning
- Integration of application infrastructure components for application software
- Monitoring integration with Tivoli
- Experience with IBM TSM (client side)
- Automated deployment & configuration
- Managing and configuring scheduled & user backups
- Designing backup and archiving concepts
- Application migration to new hardware and OS versions (Solaris Know-How required)
- Storage management and migrations based on the volume managers LVM & ZFS
- Automating workflows in the scripting language Bash
- Knowledge of the following IT tools: HP Service Manager, HP Server Automation, Command (C6000), Monitoring Cockpit, SharePoint, Microsoft Office, Build RPM & Solaris packages within UBIS standards and requirements
