Job description
- Ensure smooth operation of complex high availability web hosting environment in order to provide maximum performance and availability
- Evaluating, upgrading and supporting infrastructure based on Linux, Unix and Solaris operating systems with clustering enabled on systems and services
- Ensure 24x7 operations and focus on Service Level Agreement
- Develop and upgrade existing system documentation
Position purpose
We are currently looking for experienced and non-experienced professionals to work within a team which is responsible end to end for supporting IT infrastructure and high availability application environment for one of largest financial institution on German market. Current infrastructure is built on high end enterprise solutions and hosted in largest data centers in Europe.
Main accountabilities
- Supporting of a High Availability infrastructure server environment
- Daily Operation Management
◦ Log file analysis
◦ Backup review and planning
- Scripting and task automation
- Performing troubleshooting
- Change planning, preparation and implementation
- Cooperation with other team members (Middleware Administrators, DB Administrators, Network Engineers)
- Documentation

Requirements
- Good knowledge of Linux operating systems (Solaris, Red Hat Linux is a plus)
- Unix Shell Scripting
- English - good knowledge in speaking and writing
- Good communication skills (written and spoken)
- Can do attitude
- Knowledge of Solaris Cluster, Solaris 10, UC4 would be an advantage
