Accenture Operations is one of Accenture key capabilities dedicated to work on outsourcing engagements. These are long-term partnerships with clients for whom we manage and provide increasingly specialized business operations, such as finance and accounting, IT, applications development and maintenance, helpdesk services, and HR. - Develop and document appropriate enterprise tools platform and O/S architecture and standards for Network Services supported enterprise network tools applications, including performance and capacity monitoring, configuration audit & compliance, service delivery tools, and application performance analysis & testing tools
- Work in conjunction with the appropriate tools and client teams to define and document requirements for all tools related components and services (server, O/S, disaster recovery, backup, etc.), and update or customize the standards as required
- Provide proactive capacity planning input, on an as-needed basis, in support of the deployment of new systems or application modules
- Participate in problem determination and resolution of tools related issues as needed (only as required to supplement our global implementation & support teams)
- Provide level four support, including on-call and troubleshooting of capacity and application performance related incidents as escalated by level 3 escalation teams Tools supported infrastructure
- Represent NDA Tools in deliberations with internal project teams and external entities such as infrastructure and application vendors and service providers
- Establish systems management and maintenance tools and processes necessary to effectively and securely manage the Enterprise Tools infrastructure
- Provide input to knowledge capital (job aids, templates, methodologies, toolsets, presentation, etc.) related to the concepts of enterprise tools topics
- Serve as the subject matter expert for relevant tools infrastructure functional components
- Develop operational support processes and job aids for all architecture & standards designed and implemented; ensure resource teams that provide lowest levels of operation support are appropriately trained
- Provide cost basis and drivers for all architecture & standards designed and implemented; work with appropriate Tools Application Architect to develop corresponding cost models
- Participate in and contribute to NDA Tools team meetings and defined status reporting
- Ensure the proper user testing has taken place before any changes are implemented in production
- Degree in technical subject preferred (Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics)
- Strong working knowledge of SNMP and infrastructure monitoring & management
- Application Architecture (multi-tier)
- Understanding of TCP\IP services and associated ports
- Understanding of networking concepts and components (DNS, DHCP, NAT, firewall, proxy, web filters, switches, routers, etc.)
- Understanding of internetworking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, HTTP, FTP, Telnet, etc)
- Previous experience or aptitude to be successful in an architecture and standards capacity
- Understanding and/or proficiency in scripting languages (Perl, Shell, Awk, C, Python)
- Skills in technical and industry research
- Experience working in an outsourced & multi-client enterprise environments
- Experience with developing future plans and roadmaps
- Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with technology vendors to achieve successful outcomes
- Demonstrated knowledge in one or more of the following is considered a plus:
- Relational database design and administration (MS SQL, Oracle, Sybase, etc.)
- LAN/WAN networks
- X86 standalone and frame based hardware, Sun
- UNIX (Solaris, BSD, Linux, etc.) and/or Windows 2003 Enterprise Server and Windows XP/Vista desktop operating systems
- Microsoft Enterprise Server, UNIX, Linux operating systems
- Server tuning. monitoring, and maintenance
- Load balancing and Failover technologies
- Microsoft Active Directory, MOM, and other utilities/services
- Experience with Cisco routers & switches and knowledge of routing fundamentals
- Authentication, Authorization, & Encryption (LDAP, RADIUS, TACACS +, PKI, SSL, SSH, IPSec, GRE)
- Familiarity with distributed networked application behavior (web applications, .NET, SQL, SAP, etc.)
- Excellent planning, organizing, and supervisory skills
- Possesses experience in the overall responsibility for structuring a project, performing the detailed planning, (tasks and budget) and managing project execution
- Demonstrates excellent skills in English communication; both spoken and written
- Is an ambitious, self-starter who takes pride in their work and shows evidence of having the drive and the will to succeed
- Experience with Sarbanes Oxley, ISO & BS principles & practices
- Ability to travel domestically/internationally, as required (<20%)
- Ability to support operational escalations after hours/weekends
