Join our Engineering team as an Test Engineer.
DUTIES:
- Design, support and test moderately complex test systems and equipment, including independent troubleshooting
- Maintain and improve existing test equipment and test stands used for production
- Participate in, promote and improve existing processes; assure proper documentation and release procedures
- New Product introduction and implementation of new production steps according to predefined plan
- Plan, schedule and coordinate detailed phases of projects
- Work with Development Engineers to establish test requirements and test strategies for new production products
- Prepare new Test Procedures (TSPs), Engineering Changes (E/Cs), Bill of Materials (BOMs), process study, etc.
- Create research/troubleshooting investigation reports
- Internal mentoring and communication; assuring compliance to rules and regulations
- Train other members of the test team and production technicians on theory and design of new/existing test stands
- Guide/direct technicians, interns, and lower level Engineers
JOB QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- Solid electrical circuit analysis, testing, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of NI LabView and Test Stand software
- Solid understanding of high current electronics controllers, installations, experience with rotary machines, frequency converters and facility installations
- Good instrumentation calibration theory and accuracy analysis
- Solid report, technical specification and product manual writing skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills including presentations
- Ability to effectively operate in the project team environment and communicate with Customers and Suppliers
- Proficient in the usage of PC software, i.e., word-processing, spreadsheets, databases, file storage, and e-mail
- Effective time management skills
- Requires a degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or the equivalent technical experience
- Preferable more than 4 years in related field or entry level PhD required
