As a Manager, you will work as part of a growing financial crime technology team to help clients handle critical technology projects and programmes, from keeping pace with regulations to tackling transformation. You will play a vital part in shaping Client solutions and implementing them as well as contributing to the product management and development of existing and new innovations primarily in the AML / FinCrime space. You will scope requirements with product teams, data scientists and fellow product managers for various solutions, utilising the latest data technologies and methodologies, and develop a successful project implementation approach, taking into account business needs and technical constraints.
The role
- Managing implementation projects of technology solutions composed of existing product portfolio or, partially or fully, requiring development
- Directly managing a highly skilled team of 4-8: business analysts, data analysts, developers while interacting across various internal and Client teams and stakeholders
- Managing related Client services (continuous improvements, operational enhancements, implementations of additional modules or applications, oversight of support and maintenance, service management reporting)
- Applying project management and consulting tools and methodologies to ensure quality, timeliness and effectiveness of project delivery
- Collaborating with technology managers, business process experts, business operations, product owners, analysts, architects, and other teams to ensure the right definition and delivery for every initiative
- Conducting root-cause analysis of identified issues, ensuring product teams are provided with sufficient details to understand, replicate, and resolve technical and application problems
- Analysing organisational and working methods from the perspective of optimising the implementation and service delivery
- Assisting in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans.
- Preparing reports, guidance and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software.
- Chairing or facilitating Client and internal meetings and workshops
- Running or facilitating software demonstrations to the Clients
- Potentially, taking on additional organisational responsibilities to support the broad Technology team or product agenda - e.g. a (sub)product owner, an organisational area coordinator or other.
Candidate’s profile
- Strong practical experience in project management including the Technology area (min. 5 years experience in Project or Program Manager roles)
- Thorough understanding of agile, waterfall and hybrid frameworks, methodologies and processes - level 2 certifications or higher will be considered an asset
- Understanding of software and system architecture
- Excellent planning, time management and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives with defined timelines and keeping key senior stakeholders, technology and operations partners appropriately updated
- Experience in successful building relationships with Clients
- Experience in working in an international matrixed organisation
- International profile, readiness to get involved in international projects and to travel if required
- Excellent written and verbal English language skills
- Prior experience in / knowledge of financial industry and AML area specifically will be considered as a significant advantage
