In the plant located in Gdańsk we produce energy storage systems and battery modules that replace internal combustion engines in industrial machines. Currently Northvolt Poland is increasing its manufacturing capabilities by building a highly-automated, state-of-the-art production plant.
Currently we are looking for a Technical Purchasing Specialist who will be responsible for purchasing direct goods for the company.
- Working closely with NPI engineering to maintain detailed bill of materials and routings, with complete part creation, including revision changes and ensuring the facility has the correct information to execute production operations
- Procuring materials for manufacturing - this includes identifying and ordering the proper quantity and shipment terms, as well as overseeing the timely delivery of materials needed to fulfill customer orders
- Maintaining sufficient inventory, scheduling and receiving shipments of raw materials
- Completing and submitting all necessary documentation from both suppliers and internal customers
- Facilitating bids, analysis and negotiations for indirect goods and services
- Managing expenditure and reducing indirect costs relating to this procurement category
- At least 2 years of experience in purchasing/buyer related position
- Experience in mechanical, electrical and electromechanical manufacturing field or similar
- Knowledge of ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 would be an advantage)
- Fluent English
- Highly organised and result-driven
- Ability to work under high pressure and tight deadlines, excellent time management
