In order to support plans for significant growth in its core markets across EMEA, North America and Asia Pacific, the business is investing in building regional delivery centres at strategic locations across the world. One of these centres is located in Poland, and one primary function will be the delivery of implementations of our product suite to our customers across the EMEA region.
Responsibilities:
Te Technical Lead is a Lead Data Developer and Team Lead across projects using NetReveal to discover fraud. The successful candidate will take a leading role in projects ranging across all solution stages including requirements gathering, running pilots, solution design, development and configuration, model development and testing.
You'll be expected to travel within Europe for approximately 10% of your time.
Key responsibilities include
- Specify the solution design in consultation with NetReveal Architects and Design Authorities.
- Lead analysis to mine business intelligence from high volumes of structured or unstructured data.
- Run business workshops and requirements gathering to design robust fraud detection scenarios.
- Solve complex problems utilising development and coding skills.
- Decompose high level phases into detailed tasks for the development team.
- Oversee the development of data interfaces, specifications and schemas; the production and assessment of data quality reports; the creation of ETL scripts; the deployment of analytical models and scores and the design and development of reports.
- Ensure teams follow best practice for development including planning quality processes into the build and leveraging programming tools, frameworks and environments.
- Have overall responsibility for the quality of project technical deliverables.
- Assign work to programming staff, monitor performance against plan and proactively take controlling action when required to meet deadlines and quality targets.
- Use Waterfall, SCRUM and Agile approaches as appropriate to plan work for releases and iterations, prioritise and target features for releases and lead low-level estimation activities.
- Provide advice, guidance and assistance to other colleagues as required, with particular focus on less experienced colleagues and team members.
- Shepherd all development activity through the development lifecycle paying particular care to ensure that quality processes, gates and controls are identified and followed.
- Support the PM to prepare overall project estimates and delivery schedule.
- Lead the technical delivery on a day-to-day basis.
Relevant experience includes:
- Experience of 'big data' projects such as data integration, data warehousing or data analytics.
- Production of Business Intelligence, especially within Financial Services
- Structured data analysis for the identification of fraud and risk
- Ful project lifecycle experience and knowledge of development frameworks such as Agile
- Developer tools including code management tools and strategies, development environments, defect management and test process management
- Fraud measurement, identification and investigation
- Fluent Polish and English are essential; another European language would be a strong advantage
- A flair for acquiring new technical skills
- Innovative, problem solving approach
- Strong leadership and team working skills
- Advanced programming, system design and data analysis
- The candidate should have extensive experience of at least one enterprise data management or ETL package, preferably SAS or Oracle.
- The successful candidate will have knowledge of many of the following:
