Team Leader - Accounting
Location: Szczecin
As a fast growing company we are currently looking for a person to hold the position of:
Team Leader - Accounting
Person hired on this position will be responsible for managing an accounting team and
help create a world-class shared service function with a focus on customer service and
process efficiency. Team Leader manages the day-to-day planning, operation and
problem-solving so that a team meets it required level of service.
Major Responsibilities:
- Management of a team providing accounting services to a number of business units and territories
- In the initial migration phase process mapping and documentation of above processes, coordinates migration process and ensures responsibilities are clearly defined after transfer
- Monitor, control and report KPIs and SLA to Process Manager, analysis and develops improvement plans
- Monitors all changes of scope of work and reports them to Process Manager
- Contributes to recruiting of team members and its induction
- Facilitates knowledge-sharing across teams/departments
- Ensuring effective communication and cooperation within a team, cross- team and cross-department
- The day to day relationship with the customer including resolution of customer issues
- Participation in both internal SSC and Dansk Supermarked projects as required
- Aligns team & individual objectives to achieve company's goals
Ideal candidate’s skills and qualifications:
- Degree/diploma in Finance and Accounting
- Five years of best-practice experience in various financial/accounting positions. Desirable in finance & accounting gained in an international organization (ideally shared services or BPO)
- 2 - 3 years of supervisory experience
- Process understanding in at least one of the following processes: Accounts Receivables, Accounts
- Payable, General Ledger
- English - High standard of language proficiency
- SAP knowledge would be a plus
- Good working knowledge of Word, Ms Outlook
- Very good knowledge of Excel
- Experience in transitioning work to new locations (especially knowledge transfer) would be a plus
- Change/project management (eg. ERP implementations) would be an asset
