Job Description:
- Take ownership for assigned client services working with SDMs and PMs to meet Service and/or Project Delivery objectives
- Take ownership for assigned tools, working with Operations Monitoring Team Lead and Application/System owners, to ensure appropriate standards and documentation are in place
- Work with other Support Teams to ensure daily system/ application jobs run and complete successfully
- Design/ document/ implement/ continuously improve jobs, procedures and the applications runbooks
- Implement changes with strict adherence to Change Management procedures
- Participate in 24 hour on-call rota for assigned callout services
- Provide technical support of VTOM batch job scheduler for production and non-production systems
- Install and configure VTOM clients and server in AIX and Windows environments
- Very good English skills
- Degree in technical subject preferred (Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics)
- 2 years in the IT operations field, ideally with exposure to batch scheduling
- 1+ year working experience in Unix and Oracle Server production environments
- Practical knowledge of ITIL Best Practices for Event, Incident and Change Management - ITIL foundation certificate will be an advantage
- Experience in working with multinational/ cross-border teams
- Familiarity with the following technologies:
- Understanding of complex IT infrastructure
- Basic knowledge of networking
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows on advanced user level
- Scripting skills - intermediate level
- Knowledge of Oracle (or other Relational database) would be an advantage
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining set priorities
- Willing to do occasional short term abroad travel assignments (mainly Paris, France)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to use your knowledge of foreign language on a daily basis at work (we serve our Clients in almost 30 foreign languages)
- Experience with a range of Clients and technology solutions which provides professional relevance
