This person will assume responsibility primarily as a MS Exchange 2010 operations specialist with potential responsibility in the MS Lync platform. The candidate will be working in a team supporting 15,000 mail and 13,000 Lync users in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. This is a Level 2 operations role and entails maintaining platform stability, product upgrades, platform lifecycle management, new platform deployments and migration, incident, problem and change management. Out of hours on call support duties and shift work are required for this role on a rotational basis.
The role also supports mobile email devices - BlackBerry and Good For Enterprise with a view to migrate the latter to a Citrix based Active-Sync solution.
- Support Exchange 2010 environment
- Support Lync 2010/2013 platforms
- Participate in regular maintenance and DR events
- Capacity, KPI and Management Reporting
- Message Hygiene
- Level 2/3 escalations for above technologies
- Compliance & Litigation Requests
- Stability initiatives for all above technologies
- Platform efficiency and automation / streamline repetitive and manual tasks
- Root Cause Analysis of incidents
- Maintaining operation documents
- Managing and maintaining mobile device infrastructure (BlackBerry and Good for Enterprise)
Essential
- Good communication skills (the role requires regular interaction with the Desktop, Product Management, Engineering teams and external vendors)
- ITIL or equivalent certification
- Knowledge of AD
- Understanding of MS Exchange 2010 or equivalent Email systems
- Customer focused
- Proficient in PowerShell
- Effective Communication skills
- Good troubleshooting and analytical problem solving skills
- Understanding of network protocols
- Ability to work to deadlines

- Experience of deploying and supporting enterprise scale Messaging and Collaboration platforms

- Knowledge of Symantec Archiving and Compliance products

- PowerShell scripting for Exchange 2010 - automation and batch tasks
- Working knowledge of SCOM 2012
Transition of core email support from London to Wroclaw. Execution and support collaboration services as part of integrating global collaboration services.
