Statutory Accountant with Czech or Slovakian

For our Client, international company located in Warsaw, we are currently looking for Candidates for the position of Statutory Accountant with Czech or Slovakian. Working on this position you will be a key member of EMEA Statutory Team.

The key responsibilities of the successful Candidate will include: on-going statutory accounting review and booking of adjustments; preparation of monthly/quarterly statutory balance sheet reviews and quarterly fiscal profit and loss analytical review, including reconciliation of management vs. statutory accounting; cooperation with the business owners and Global Finance Teams to clear any errors and with the auditors to clear audit queries. Moreover the Candidate will collaborate on the preparation of annual disclosures to the financial statements and response E&Y ad hoc external queries for certain areas: prepare annual set of financial statements and applicable notes in accordance with the local GAAP; monitor standard activities; conduct on-going statutory accounting reviews and booking of adjustments and reclassifications needed to comply with local accounting and tax laws; maintains summary and analysis of Intercompany charges received and sent to country entities for tax, transfer pricing and statutory analysis.

The ideal Candidate has University degree (business or economics); advanced degree or accounting certification e.g. Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred. At least 3-4 years of experience as external auditor in one of the big four audit firm or chief accountant positions Very good knowledge of Czech or Slovakian and English is a must. From our Candidates we expect very good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure and excellent analytical skills.
