Our client is looking for an experienced Java developer with a minimum of 2 years' commercial experience in Java software development. The successful candidate will have experience working on projects through a whole product life-cycle, including a high level of client interaction/liaison. You will enjoy opportunities to work on product roadmap and customisation projects working closely with a multi-national client base.
In addition to showing core Java development competency, you will be expected to show strong presentation and customer facing skills, and deliver a project within time-scales and to deadlines. You will be degree educated in computer science, or be able to show equivalent experience. You will be a self-starter with an ability to understand user requirements, show strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and produce strong design documentation.

- Excellent Java SE 7 (or higher) core.
- Understanding of web application frameworks, such as Struts or Spring / MVC.
- Ability to work alone, leading small teams, or liaising with other work-streams, delivering
- software to rapid fixed deadlines.
- Strong understanding of unit testing as part of the software development cycle.
- Experience with the following skills is required: Core Java, JPA, SQL, Web frameworks
- Strong understanding of large global applications in a multi-national environment
