Within Philips Lighting, BG Lamps is responsible for the Operations of Lamp and LED Electronics which are together a strong growing organization, responsible for the creation of new energy drivers for lighting solutions both in conventional as in the new fast growing LED Business. From four locations in the world, these products are developed, produced and sold as components for total lighting systems. Our head office is located in Eindhoven.
The planning team is globally divided into 3 regions (America, Asia and Europe). Within the European region a motivated Supply chain team is responsible for supply and stock management throughout the industrial and commercial supply chain. In this function, you play a key role in our buy-sell and entrepreneur process to guarantee electronic components -and LED supply to our manufacturing sites in Poland.
Buy Sell activity runs via larger Philips organizational unit were also other business models come together. This organization is also one of global buy for resale organization, fiscal entrepreneur for Dutch categories for intercompany flows, sales organization for component sales to thirds. Very soon it will become one of largest Philips Organizational unit in Philips Lighting. This is due to rapidly increasing number of flows and scope coming from implementation of Fiscal Entrepreneur Program in Lighting. This organization offers opportunity to work in international environment with cross function teams on a daily basis, as well as working with system experts contributing to design of automated solutions for major business processes.

Your Team:
In this role you will work in a team of 13 supply chain experts based in Poland and Eindhoven and liaise in close cooperation with internal and external suppliers and manufacturers, product development and procurement engineering, F&A, Purchasing, Masterdata team and IT. Periodically, there is contact with peers in Shanghai to share knowledge and drive improvements. You will report to the Supply chain manager for LED and Lamp Electronics Europe.
Your responsibilities:
- Order management between our Outsourced manufacturers and tier 2 component suppliers
- Review order fulfillment/critical shortage results and find possible correction and improvement plan
- Create the LED component forecast base production requirements and new product introductions, working closely with new product development
- Support setup of new suppliers in the Buy-sell process, from pilot run to go live
- Work with initial buyers on supplier delivery performance and reduction of lead time
- Monitor demand fluctuation, safety stock levels at our outsourced manufacturer and support in driving stock health by identifying opportunities for slow moving reduction
- Logistic data management
- Performing monitoring activities Fiscal Entrepreneur organizations
- Analyzing results of performed monitoring activities and taking actions
- Contributing to business scorecard for Buy Sell Lighting organization
- Identifying improvement areas together with other team members and system experts, leading to improvement of defined KPI
- Daily cooperating with remaining cross function team members of Buy Sell Lighting organization
We are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering & Management Sciences
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in a dynamic Supply Chain oriented position
- Excellent communication skills in English and Polish
- Experience with SAP is a big plus
- Team player
- Drive for results, enthusiasm and passion for Supply Chain Management
- Strong analytical skills
- You are pragmatic, and you are not afraid to make decisions individually
