Specialist in Fundamental Rights Office

- Support Fundamental Rights Office in monitoring tasks (media monitoring and research, SIRs handling, drafting emails/reports, prepare briefings and providing overviews of operational information needed for FRO to perform its tasks, support the drafting of the FRO Annual Report to go public;
- Technical support to the project team in implementing the Service Level Agreement with FRA on establishing and preparing trainings for the Fundamental Rights Monitors (FROMs) e.g. liaising between entities, consultants and other involved staff;
- Support FRO team in other horizontal matters where relevant;
- Conduction of fundamental rights analysis, research and providing advice, focused on practical and operational matters;
- Coordination among stakeholders and preparation of correspondence and communication, ensuring its timely follow up and reporting on implementation;
- Support the drafting and preparation of reports, summaries, and collection of information and other necessary documentation;
- Preparation of phone, meeting and file records necessary for the completion of the respective duties;
- Support the research and the delivery of training, briefings, etc. within the areas of expertise in accordance to the needs identified by the entity;
- Follow up on the implementation of respective legislation, standards, rules and guidelines.
- University degree in the area of law and knowledge international human rights law and/or of EU
- Law;
- Knowledge of legal and fundamental rights standards and provisions related to the job duties, especially in a migration and border management context;
- Ability to effectively communicate and relay, both oral and/or written, legal research and analysis and other relevant messages in English;
- Experience in analysing data and in writing skills;
- Proven ability to work with electronic systems and databases, preferably in legal environments
- Assets
- Good research skills on legal and fundamental rights issues, including on the case law of relevant courts and organisations;
- Previous experience in handling complaints, case registries and/or case management systems, preferably at an international level;
- Experience in the coordination of stakeholder’s requests.

- Proven organizational and coordination skills and ability to plan work assignments and monitor their implementation and to work effectively and cooperatively in a multicultural environment.
