Procurement Shared Services Center (PSSC) based in Łódź, Poland, is part of global Philips Procurement. Under the umbrella of Royal Philips, Philips Procurement manages and performs sourcing and procurement activities for (indirect) goods and services for Philips. PSSC acts on behalf of the Philips businesses, handling every step in the purchasing process – from demand analysis to final delivery. PSSC delivers value added services by leveraging economies of scale, globalizing processes and simplifying the ways of working, while delivering superior purchasing experiences by listening and acting on our customers’ feedback.
Your challenge:
To perform tactical, operational and transactional sourcing for indirect materials and services and support in executing the process flows within the various systems. Provide support and guidance for appropriate use of procurement tools and applications and deliver value added services through customized reporting and market intelligence towards entire Procurement organization. Collaborating with the Commodity/Clusters/Markets and delivering the key objectives in a virtual set-up.
Your key responsibilities:

Manages PSSC functional team also virtually within and outside current location

Delivers KPI results in line with PSSC Dashboard and Procurement objectives

Ensure cooperation and alignment between the Commodities/Clusters/Markets and PSSC teams

Identifies sourcing opportunities for PSSC in conjunction with the commodity/cluster/market leads and develops joint strategies for deployment

Actively supports procurement key initiatives and drive savings projects in collaboration with the commodity/clusters/markets

Manages the tail spend and delivers savings and operational efficiencies

Identifies and deliver the synergetic benefits between both tactical and operational teams and other teams within the PSSC organization

Defines procurement strategies based on business requirements for the assigned portfolio

Supports in creating a professional and high performing tactical and operational sourcing teams

Eliminates overlap and waste within the managed teams and provide coaching and professional support for their development through regular feedback on performance

Work closely with transactional sourcing BPO partner for bringing highest level of operational efficiency within the chain for delivering customer satisfaction to the end users

Contributes actively in shaping the PSSC future strategies playing a proactive role in the management team and leadership team discussions

Provides strategic insight to the sourcing team for continuous improvement

Identifies linkages with the other functions and plays a leading role in identifying opportunities for delivering value to the procurement organization

Delegates appropriate resources for projects/ initiatives and manages/coordinates projects within and outside PSSC scope

Ensures compliance with Procurement policies and procedures, codes of ethics and general business principles

Deals effectively with ambiguity and change management and coaches others in embracing Philips behaviors

Takes personal responsibility for the success of the group, unit, department, or organization
We are looking for people with:
- Graduate with master degree. MBA preferred.
- Fluent English is a must (both orally and in writing)
- 10-15 years of working experience within Sourcing/Procurement & Project area, out of which 6-8 years in leadership role managing a large team.
- Procurement experience and expertise (incl. Commodity/Cluster and Market knowledge)
- Advanced leadership and team building skills
- Advanced Project Management skills/experience required (e.g. Prince2) with lean knowledge preferred
- Working in matrix organization
- Drive for results

- Strong demand and change management expertise
- Very good communication skills and customer attitude
- Self-driven and pro-active, able to work independently in virtual environment
