Software Engineer C/C++ (Linux)
Here’s what you get to do:
- Developing software products for Linux based set-top box platforms used by millions of users.
- Implementing new software modules with source code quality being the top priority.
- Implementing performance optimizations, debugging and fixing software issues.
- Participating in agile development process of a large scale software project.
- Learning about TV operator technology.
Here’s what you’ll need to be successful:
- Very good C programming skills.
- Knowledge of Linux based development environments and tools.
- Expertise in software application life cycle (with maintenance and updates).
- Understanding of various software development stages, from design documentation, to code review, unit testing and debugging.
- Basic knowledge of Unix command line.
- Good spoken and written both Polish and English.
- Good logical thinking, good grasp on algorithms.
Nice to have:
- Broad understanding of graphical user interfaces.
- Knowledge of UML.
- Experience in developing UI applications interconnected with backend systems.
- General knowledge on: television systems, audio/video processing, data streaming.
- Experience in setting up build and automation tools, scripting.
