Software Development Engineer Language Modeling
IVONA Software researches, develops and delivers cutting edge multi-language Text to Speech technology, leading in voice quality, accuracy and ease of use. As part of our development team you will work alongside Software Developers who are subject matter experts in speech synthesis and related fields. You will be responsible for expanding and building in-house test tools for TTS. Significant part of your job will be performing tests of TTS voices and core engine.
This position is based at IVONA headquarters in Gdynia, Poland.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field or 3+ years relevant work experience.
- Experience building and designing test cases
- Experience with testing methodologies (unit testing, Scrum)
- Fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, complexity analysis and data structures
- Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: C, C++, C#, Java, or Perl/Python
- Multilingual
- Strong personal interest in learning, researching, and creating new technologies related to foreign languages, linguistics and phonetics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in developing in a Linux environment
- Knowledge of speech technologies and NLP.
- Knowledge of software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Experience with web services and databases, including PHP.
- Clear, professional communication skills able to contribute to team discussions, knowing when to contribute, when to listen, and when to ask questions.
