We are seeking Site Reliability Engineers to join our CIO Service Management team in Gdansk.
The CIO organization in Thomson Reuters provides shared capabilities spanning Service Management, Digital Commerce, LABs, Platforms Engineering, and Architecture. In parallel with the Thomson Reuters transformation program, the CIO organization is driving a change to bring closer alignment of the technology work we do, to the product and business outcomes. The services from CIO are delivered through a shared capability model and implemented by a strong, talented, diverse set of global resources. Through the use of modern technology, platforms and services, and closer alignment to business stakeholders, we maintain a focus on customers, while making it easier for our internal consumers to use our services.
The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) will analyze chronic and major issues, design solutions in partnership with the product and IT Service Design teams, build, test, operationalize tools and applications. Additionally, the Site Reliability Engineer will provide oversight and coaching to engineers, and be an escalation for GCC engineers

About the Role
In this opportunity as Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Service design, release, development and support
Service engineering and management
Driving efficiencies and reducing risks from a technology perspective
Researching capabilities, testing new solutions, recommending and implementing new technologies to improve our effectiveness.
Collaborating and partnering with cross functional teams to solve intractable problems and devising solutions to improve the products and services we offer our customers.
About You
You’re a fit for the role of Site Reliability Engineer if you have:
Required Skills
You are familiar with programming languages such as Java, C#, JavaScript, Python.
You have worked with Widows, Linux, or Container systems at scale.
You have designed scalable systems and services.
You can apply an evidence-based approach to solving service problems.
You have worked with a major cloud provider such as Amazon, Azure, or Google, and understand IaaS, PaaS, SaaS concepts.
Software Engineering Skills
You have worked with object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
You are familiar with an agile/lean development framework like Scrum.
You can automate software build and testing using tools like Jenkins.
You have been involved with databases and optimizations.
You understand cloud technologies and use of their APIs and configuration tools.
Systems Engineering Skills
You write code to test systems and discover system properties and attributes.
You use configuration management tools to manage configuration at scale.
You investigate system components discovering and removing sources of unreliability.
You apply the scientific method to system components to identify improvements.
You select, configure, analyze and tune IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
