Our Client is a part of the world's most international businesses from the FMCG sector, with brands sold in more than 200 markets around the world.
Currently, for our Client, we are looking for a Service Manager to manage and ensure the successful transition of IDT Services, Infrastructure and Engineering projects to BAU without impacting business continuity.
You will be responsible for:
- Strategy & Planning:
- assisting with the development of project scope, goals and deliverables that transitions a project into a BAU position
- defining the target SLA for the ongoing operations and embed within the project goals, objectives and deliverables
- mapping the existing service to the target to be delivered by the project and ensure all the company resources and 3rd parties are ready to move from existing SLA to target
- ensuring quality control procedures are used correctly
- establishing the IDT transition to support working methods
- planning and scheduling transition to support project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
- tracking project milestones and deliverables in relation to the transition of project deliverables
- adopting best practices and tools for transition to support
- understanding and ensuring Transition/BAU operational risks and issues are managed
- Acquisition & Deployment:
- scheduling the resources and participants needed to achieve the transition to support goals
- managing finance and budgets for transition activities (forecasts, actual vs planned, etc.)
- Operational Management:
- developing a full-scale transition to support project plans and associated communications documents
- delegating tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
- identifying and resolving issues and conflicts within the project & services team
- identifying and managing project & services dependencies and critical path
- developing and delivering progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
Main requirements:
- experience in Service Operations or Service Transition or both depending on seniority
- university degree or similar level gained through experience
- ability to manage stakeholders effectively
- ability to identify and manage risks, issues and competing priorities
- demonstrate the ability to proactively take account of people's issues and create a team environment
- strong planning and budgeting skills
- experience in a large global organization using in-sourced and out-sourced IT service providers
- strong vendor management and the ability to extract maximum value and continually improve services delivered by external suppliers
