We are seeking a smart, flexible and innovative developer to build tools to
- Query, create and manipulate data within our Calculation Fabric.
- automate all aspects of development cycle from obtaining a workspace, adding software components, editing and running tests, integration with our Continuous Integration stack through to deployment as a service. This role focuses on the front-end of our tools, and will require working closely with Quantitative users of the tools as well as the back-end tool developer and other teams.
Must have:
- Degree educated with a mathematical / computational degree or similar (EE or Physics for example)
- Pro-active - being able to take ownership of issues and follow to resolution / delivery is vital.
- Fluent written and spoken English is a must.
- We will consider different levels of experience as we believe in team diversity.
Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate strong design and development skills in HTML5 and have a solid background of object and component oriented design techniques in Javascript.
A good understanding of the importance of good software development practices is vital.

This is a new role. Team is moving from a phase of defining base libraries and technology into building tools on top of the libraries
It is a large, multi-year program that has the goal of producing bank-wide intraday aggregated risk on demand, enabling more effective capital allocation, more effective trading decision making and more effective risk oversight across the Investment Bank.
We are actively expanding and scaling our codebase and delivery and are starting to write tooling to enable Quantitative developers to easily plug new code into our framework, and deliver it into test and production environments.
It is a small team of expert developers who provide tools, libraries and consultancy to Quantitative developers, empowering the use of valuation software within the SRP Data Fabric, a "big data" store with an elegant, scalable, graph calculation layer. The Data Fabric provides on-demand front-to-back risk data, a rapidly growing area within the business. Fabric.
Our language choice for server and back-end tool development is F#, a concise and elegant member of the .NET family that emphasises functional programming. We also use C++ for performance-critical areas. Our tool user interface is built in HTML5 using Angular JS and Bootstrap 3.
Quality through test automation is intrinsic in everything we write - we use NUnit, GMock/GTest for our server code and Karma/Jasmine and Protractor for front-end testing.
