Senior VB Developer

• Create client-facing reporting based on existing framework developed in VB for L0/L1services that we provide to our internal clients.
• There are a transparent set of quality and content guidelines to deliver high-quality service-level client reports. The primary objective is to extend the existing report to the remaining deployed services, specifically: End User Infrastructure, Mainframe Services, IT Security Operations Services and the Global Service Desk.
• The effort will primarily be delivered via VB coding.

Development Skills:

• Experience in software development in small projects, at least at Scripting - level.
• Basic understanding of object oriented programming
• Good understanding of VBA Application development
• Ability to understand complex dependencies
• Readiness for self-study
• Experience in operations, understanding of daily processes in operations
• Basic understanding for ITIL terminology and main processes (IM,CM)
• Monitoring and ticketing systems

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication skills and ability to communicate status and technical challenges effectively in English to technical and non-technical staff
• Ability to work independently and deliver solutions with minimal oversight
• Strong commitment to quality

It is a framework for rolling-out a standard set of client reports that consistently measure our deployed services. The framework is quite complex and requires an advanced VB developer to further extend the reporting to the remaining services.

We provide critical services for IT with a large outsourced footprint. With the aforementioned it's critical that we continually monitor the pulse of the operations both for quality and client satisfaction. As such, providing a globally consistent set of reports for our stakeholders and senior management is critical to maintaining stability, quality and controlling costs. This project's goals is to deliver the core, standard set of weekly and monthly client-facing reports.
