In our facility in Niepołomice we are desigining, manufacturing and testing engine controllers and cabinets.
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Senior Software Engineer to join our Engine Systems Current Products Group and take full responsibility for design solutions/implementation, test creation/execution and general support of our products. This is a position that requires some level of leadership and ability to be self-driven and self-motivated. This position works under a moderate to low level of supervision.

- Designs, supports, and tests moderate to high complexity software systems and sub-systems.
- Possesses strong knowledge of software development and analysis tools including editors, compilers, linkers, debuggers, code analyzers, version control systems, software testing tools, etc.
- Plans, schedules and coordinates detailed phases of several product change projects.
- Creates specifications, process study, research investigations, technical reports and other activities requiring knowledge of Woodward products and specific market requirements.
- Provides direct support to Sales, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Product Development and Test groups.
- Supports Customers and Quality in product related issues.
- Develops and facilitates execution of test plans, creates test reports and Engineering Changes (ECs).
- Sets technical direction on projects and mentors lower level Engineers and Technicians.
- Independently troubleshoots and analyzes component and system problems.
- Devises new approaches to problems encountered.
- Participates in and promotes process improvements to department procedures.
- Documents/archives/retrieves items from storage system.
- May participate in international and multi-site projects.
- Engineering degree in Software, Computer Science or related technical field.
- Greater than 4 years professional software engineering experience required.
- Advanced engineering knowledge, proven software design, development and verification aptitude.
- Capable of writing good software requirements that satisfy system expectations.
- Project technical leadership experience desired.
- Competent skills in complex problem solving, trouble-shooting, and statistical evaluation.
- Must have strong English communication skills, including oral, listening comprehension and writing abilities for effective global communication.
- Ability to effectively operate in the project team environment and communicate with Customers.
- Solid teamwork and multitasking abilities.
- Basic leadership skills.
- Practical, process-driven and result-oriented approach.
- Proficient at use of personal computers and Microsoft Office.
- Good presentation skills are an advantage.
- Experience with product engineering and/or customer relations is an advantage.
