We are now searching for a brilliant, motivated, hands-on Senior Software Architect to join our Architecture Team. The best candidate should be experienced in scaling SaaS software to help our team continue to rapidly innovate and scale. You will be responsible for guiding the architecture of our products and coaching our bright engineers using cutting edge technology for building a highly scalable, highly usable, data-driven, web-based, SaaS software product in the cloud. Furthermore, you excel in agile environments and are able to help the architecture and team adapt to changing requirements without introducing a ton of technical debt.

- You will impress us with 6+ years professional hands-on experience as senior engineer and architect in complex development projects of non-small scale companies in the Internet domain like e-commerce, software or as a service (SaaS), or similar
- You have gained operational experience in distributed large scale applications with high scaling, availability and performance requirements running on cloud-based infrastructure, prior experience as engineering (team) lead is a big plus
- You’re brilliant at architecture documentation, balancing technical trade-offs and delivering technical presentations
- Clear communication with strong analytical skills and ability to reduce complexity are your strengths
- As a self-motivated team player you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
- You have excellent understanding of software development lifecycles in an Agile environment
- Good understanding of web performance and security concepts and best practices is your strength
- Fluent English is the must
- SQL and No-SQL databases (like MongoDB, Cassandra, ElasticSearch ...), other servers (RabbitMQ, memcached …)
- Event data processing (like Kafka, Spark Streaming, event sourcing)
- Large-scale applications on cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS
- Docker, Rancher, virtual machines, containers orchestration (Mesos, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm ...)
- Open source technologies
- Microservice and message-driven architecture
- Python, Javascript, and other languages
- Designing, maintaining, versioning sophisticated internal and external REST API’s
- Web backend development
- Working with data structures and algorithms
- In cooperation with other architects to lead the architecture and technical design of our entire platform and all products
- Design and evolve architecture to scale orders of magnitude
- Coach engineers on cutting edge approaches to scaling in the cloud
- Review and contribute code across our stack
- Provide hands-on support on complex business solution and technology piloting projects
- Act as architect consultant and peer review partner for various teams as well as a mentor and evangelist of architecture principles and visions
- Cultivate and disseminate knowledge and best practices on architecture and design development within the engineering organization
- Embrace architecture development as a team game and share your knowledge through coaching, peer reviews, articles and tech talks
- Work closely within a matrix organization made up of Product Owners, Technical Leads, DevOps, and third-party vendor organizations as required to assure, guide and direct alignment to the required solution design.
