As a Senior Release Engineering Manager, you will partner with several key technology areas across infrastructure (Cloud, Compute, Storage, Networks) and our Development to bring together the right SME's in extending our CI/CD pipelines to cover infrastructure and operations. As a Release Engineering Manager, you’ll play a valuable role in the coordination of all these initiatives
What you’ll be doing:
- This is a strategic role, not a managerial role requiring coordinating expertise. You will gather the insight from experts inside and outside your team to identify opportunities for integration being the bridge between Dev, Tech and Business.
- In areas where integration is not always possible, such as our legacy areas, you will be interfacing with our data analysts in aggregating the various data sources for improved predictive decision making.
- In the initial stages it will be about mapping out the opportunities, then identifying areas for integration, then moving on to rolling out those initiatives. Later on you will get involved in ramping up more and more initiatives as the demand increases.
- A big part of this role will be interfacing with Senior IT Managers and experts at all levels across Technology. You will gain insight, getting the buy-in for resources needed to support this initiative and demonstrate the business value it brings. Being able to structure and formulate clear objectives will be an essential part of this role.
- This is a hands on role and you will be expected to be self-driven in achieving the objectives. You are persistent in nature, a people person, able to network, and mastered the art of negotiation.
- You are also confident in defining and meeting achievable targets, reporting on progress, and able to overcome any obstacles.

Your experience and background:
- At least 3 years' experience working in large complex IT organisations
- Can demonstrate good systems and infrastructure knowledge
- Feel comfortable having discussions with technical SME's
- Previous experience coordinating across complex distributed teams
- Strong collaborative skills and strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior professionals
- Good understanding of ITIL, DevOps and SAFe best practices
- Fluency in written and spoken English
