Xstream, a market leader within premium video management system enabling customers to create, manage, monetize and distribute best in class OTT and TV Everywhere solutions, is seeking an ambitious VOD Support Engineer to enhance our technical team in our Warsaw department.
- Excellent command of English language (B2/C1 based on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_European_Framework_of_Reference_for_Languages)
- ITIL awareness (certificate will be an advantage)
- Wide experience in administration/troubleshooting of following operating systems (Linux – RedHat, Debian deratives)
- Experience in administration/troubleshooting of following services (dns, apache, nginx, tomcat, mysql)
- Experience in administration/troubleshooting of storage systems
- FreeNAS, Oracle storage, ZFS
- Experience in use and configuration of IT monitoring tools (Nagios, Cacti, Observium, New relic)
- Experience in administration of other, non-linux systems will be an advantage (Windows Server/Desktop, Mac OS X)
- Experience in administration of virtualized environments will be an advantage (VMware, Proxmox, AWS)
- Experience in support of multimedia delivery (VoD) platforms will be an advantage
- Communication and presentation skills for customer support
- Stress resistance, perseverance, accuracy and customer focus
- Multi tasking capabilities
- Providing 3rd line of support for production environment and internal organization
- Handling of Incidents/Service Requests from reception until closure and assurance of the time restoration within SLA
- Implementation of agreed and approved changes on production environment
- Ability to lead and act based on identified systems failures in order to provide stable plat-form.
- Create/update of Knowledge Base records and both lead and act on finding resolutions for the incidents/problems
- Create/Update technical documentation
- Close interaction with other technicians within the team, vendors support and the customer’s technical staff
- Supporting Problem Management with root cause analysis of incidents related to customer complaints and implementation of corrective actions.
- Ability to work in the office in Warsaw
- Ability to handle weekly on-call duties after office hours (agreed and scheduled in advance)
