As one of our Java Developers you will be given the opportunity to work with one of the markets most sophisticated and advanced applications for music streaming. The back-end at Tidal/WiMP is built as micro services tied together with REST APIs. Services are in with different technologies depending on requirements but mainly in JBoss, Tomcat or Play Web Framework.
Working in the back-end team at Tidal/WiMP is quick paced but with focus on quality. You will contribute both with the development of new functionality and improving the overall architecture. You will have the chance to work with and evaluate new technology as WiMP/Tidal is always looking at open source solutions for common problems. Today we use parts of Netflix OSS, Cassandra, Elasticsearch and more.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Solid Java knowledge
- J2EE experience, preferably Jboss
- Experience in micro service architecture
- Experience in developing highly scalable systems
- Fluency in English
- REST API design and implementation
- Experience in using open source projects as parts of larger systems
ADDITIONAL:
- Experience with continuous integration
- Experience with search technology, preferable Elasticsearch
- Scala knowledge
- Genuine interest in music and an active user of different music services
