Senior Java Developer

The successful candidate will join the dynamic Investment Banking front office team. The team builds trading platforms that perform multi-billion dollar worth trades every day.

The eTrading systems landscape contains medium to large scale distributed components. Current system stack is mainly build around Java, C++ and .NET.

Java is mainly used for back-end server side solutions.

Objectives:

• Design, development and enhancements of the etrading components,
• Always question the as-is state, suggest improvements and architecture changes, push the

quality improvements,

• In time take the complete ownership of the components,
• Participate in the system analysis, provide estimations etc,
• Participate in the maintenance rotation (max 20% of the time and decreasing)

• Strong focus on both timelines and quality,

Technical skills (must have):

• Solid knowledge of core Java (multithreading etc)
• Solid knowledge of the concepts ad frameworks:
• JMS (Tibco/IBM MQ is an adventage),
• Spring
• Maven
• XML/XSLT/XPath
• Other JEE related (JaxB, JPA/Hibernate, WebServices etc)
• CI tools (Teamcity/Hudson/Jenkins + Artifactory/Nexus)
• Linux/UNIX
• Software engineering concepts (unit and integration testing, OOP/OOD, design patterns, clean

code etc),

• SQL

Technical skills - nice to have

• SOA concepts (message brokers, BPMN skills etc)
• Integration frameworks (Apache Camel or others)
• Application monitoring tools (Sprunk/Zabbix/Managed objects/Control-M)
• C#/C++ is a big plus
• Servers (Weblogic/Tomcat/Jetty etc)
• Experience in distributed programming (distributed cache, load balancing, state synchronization

etc)
