Job description
Fund Accounting Department (part of a global unit Securities Services Operations (SSO)) is responsible for calculation and verification of the of the Net Asset Value (NAV) of Citi Clients’ funds in line with the fund prospectus.
This includes the monitoring and review of the activity taking place within the fund including but not limited to the verification of security trading, security valuations, corporate action events, income and expense accruals, derivative positions, and reconciliation of accounting records to the custodian.
Tasks:
- Full understanding of the area of Funds Administration and Accounting
- Independently resolve and coordinate resolution of the problems within valuation process and replying to all queries received from internal and external business partners in timely manner
- Investigation and resolving discrepancies between Fund Accounting books and Custody/Counterparty records for both cash and securities accounts
- Monitoring aging reconciliation discrepancies on the section/department level
- Proceeding fund valuation and performing additional tasks on a timely basis and with good work quality (accurately and in timely manner)
- Performing control function (checker) in the process, verification of transactions in the accounting system, prepared statements / reports and the correctness of the calculated NAV value, controlling the work of team members
- Engagement and coordination in client /process/solution onboarding on the team/section/department level
- Building the relationship with the clients and business partners
- Reporting to the client and senior management
- Support of the team/section in nonstandard situations which require expert knowledge and experience
- Identification inefficiencies, risks and control gaps in the process and independent development and implementation of the changes to eliminate them.
Requirements
- Good knowledge of financial markets
- Minimum 3 year working experience in institutions linked to financial markets
- Ability to self-organize and manage time effectively
- Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines
- Analytical skills and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to build trust and cooperation between various stakeholders
- Very good knowledge of English
- MS Office environment knowledge
