- Full product lifecycle development environments, i.e. from requirements gathering through implementation to release.
- At least 3 years of experience in a data warehousing or another "big data" environment.
- Previous experience using visual ETL tools or crating DB procedural ETL processes.
- Good understanding of Agile practices, including test driven development and refactoring.
- UNIX scripting would be an advantage.
- Being proactive and take ownership of tasks and is proud of their work.
- Motivated and enthusiastic team player who's willing to teach as well as learn.
- Someone that shows initiative and resourcefulness and can deliver on time.
- Bachelor/Master degree preferred
- Good English (written and spoken)
What we do?
Data warehousing and reporting of trade and product data to both the business (front office) and for regulatory reporting.
How we do it?
Using tried and tested best practices we load data from many disparate systems and build reporting layers and/or reports to fulfil both the requirements of business and various regulatory bodies. This small team operates using agile project management and relies heavily on communication to manage their book of work.
Technology-wise
Our platform consists of both Oracle and MSSQL server databases where data is loaded using a combination of both PowerCenter jobs and UNIX scripts. The data is sourced from a variety of systems either via a database connection or via a flat file delivery for end of day processing, all controlled by Control-M.
