You’re given the great opportunity to join our expanding Team. We are seeking a skilled and passionate professional, to join our Engine Systems Group and design embedded software into state of the art products of engine systems applications.
Join our Engine Systems Group as an Senior Embedded Software Engineer.
- Creating components for MotoHawkTM model-based development tool, which uses Simulink and Real Time Workshop for engine system development and applications. More information about MotoHawkTM can be found at mcs.woodward.com;
- Performing requirements capture, analysis, design, programming, independent unit testing, debugging, hardware and software integration;
- Breaking down the original requirements into high level and mid range architecture and create detailed design requirements;
- Solving integration issues that involve multiple code modules, code bases, and/or multiple developers;
- Working with electronics design and other software engineers to optimize product performance.
- Master’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Electronics Engineering;
- More than 4 years of experience in embedded software development using C for microcontrollers (knowledge of PowerPC microcontrollers will be a plus);
- Experience developing with Real-Time Operating Systems or task schedulers;
- Experience with development and debugging tools, including: source level debuggers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers etc.;
- Experience with microcontroller peripherals and systems, including: boot loaders, A/D converters, watchdog timers, interrupt and trap functions, serial and parallel interfaces;
- Experience with communication protocols and networks like CAN and Ethernet is highly desirable;
- Experience with any of the following technologies will be an additional asset: Real Time Workshop; XML; XSLT/XPath; NAnt; C++; MFC; .NET;
- Demonstrated ability to communicate well in English, verbally and through written documentation.
