Senior Custody Specialist with French
Location: Gdańsk
Main objectives of the function:
- Ensure the correct settlement of clients trades
- Process the creation / amendment / closing of accounts
- Follow / Process Asset Servicing tasks related to the Custody scope
- Control the tasks offshored to SSSSPL
- Perform the Recordkeeping of the Real Estate funds
- Process the Cash payments
- Produce or supervise the different reports related to the Custody activity
- Guarantee that SAMIC application is up to date
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the correct settlement of clients trades
Process fax instructions received from the clients
Follow up of instructions blocked in GTM
Daily review of the ‘Failed trades’ and ‘Unadvised / Non receipt’ reports
Declare incidents to the Risk Department
Monitoring of incoming and outgoing claims
2. Process the creation / amendment / closing of accounts
Account opening in SAMIC
Sending and tracking of account opening requests in MCH
Amendment / Closing of accounts based on the documents received (from the client, from other teams, eg. Compliance)
3. Follow / Process Asset Servicing tasks related to the Custody scope
Class Actions:
- Inform clients impacted by a Class Action
- Process to payments on clients accounts when a cash compensation is received
Link between the Edinburgh CoE and the client for the yearly renewal of the tax documentation
Monitoring and processing of Tax Reclaims:
Review of files received from the CoE and sending to French Tax Authority for signing
Follow up with the CoE of the progress of the Tax Reclaims
4. Control the tasks offshored to SSSSPL
Check of completeness and accuracy of postings performed by SSSSPL in SAMIC
(Securities, Cash, Derivatives)
Control of recordkeeping performed on Derivates by SSSSPL
Control of reconciliations carried out by SSSSPL on Securities, Cash, Derivatives
Monitoringof SSSSPL’schecklist
5. Perform the Recordkeeping of the Real Estate funds
Recording and updating of Real Estate properties owned by the funds, based on the documents provided by the Management Company (deeds, etc…)
Recording of all cash movements posted on the bank accounts of the funds
6. Process the Cash payments
Proceed with FX instructions when necessary
Processing of payments / receipts instructions related to derivatives based on the information received from the middle - office (margin calls, collateral)
Processing ofpayments / receipts related to subscriptions / redemptions based on information received from the Transfer Agent team
7. Produce or supervise the different reports related to the Custody activity
Coding of overdrafts in OMAC application and ad hoc reporting to the Risk department
Follow up of the resolution of the overdraft with the Asset Manager and / or the client
Link with the Risk Department on overdrafts of more than 30 days or exceeding regulatoryrequirements
Issuance and upload of the regulatory reporting Protide to Banque de France
Production of statistics related to the Custody activity
Ensure that the reconciliations performed by Syntel teams are complete and made available to Paris users on time as specified in the SLA.
Provide to Client Service team the ad hoc data for making the client KPIs
Sending of the monthly KRI to the BMC team
8. Guarantee that SAMIC application is up to date
Input of transactions when required, eg. amendment / cancellation of a transaction, trades received by fax, not automated Corporate Actions, Based on the Cash and Securities reconciliations (see point 6), perform the necessary updates in SAMIC (and / or MCH)
Requirements:
- Experience /Technical skills: Graduate or first experience in a middle / back office of a structure having an international culture.
- Professional English
- Computer knowledge: MS Office
- Required level of education: BAC +4 minimum
