Senior Business Analytics Specialist (Environmental & Social Responsibility)

As a Senior Business Analytics Specialist you will work independently to provide related finance data coordination, analysis, research and reporting for Jacobs at a Global level. The position will be aligned locally to the GBS controller with a reporting line into the Office of Global Climate Response and Environmental, Social & Governance (GCR & ESG)
Your work will have a direct impact on Jacobs’ strategy and sustainable business objectives. As the Office of GCR & ESG was newly formed, its structure and systems are still in development, and this new role provides an opportunity to be part of the building process.
Specifically you will be responsible for:
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of financial data collection and reporting systems and procedures
- Building relationships and engaging with internal partners across business to collect, automate, create audit packages, and report metrics
- Conducting research and analysis of data and trends, such as competitor analysis and regulatory developments
- Performing critical analysis and modeling of data to prepare concise management updates and reports
- Supporting development of presentations for senior stakeholders
- Performing data reviews with the team, record findings, and follow-up on changes to reporting methodology and procedures
- Supporting Jacobs’ greenhouse gas (GHG)/carbon data accounting and reporting
- Supporting data management and reporting related to Jacobs’ global giving and volunteering platform
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- Master's or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Engineering
- At least 3-5 years of experience in reporting, professional finance/accounting, audit, data management, or related role in an international business environment (preferably in Engineering or Consulting industry)
- Fluent English skills, both written and spoken
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to handle all business situations in a diplomatic and sensitive manner
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint (knowledge of VBA will be an asset)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Effective time and tasks management skills
- Collaborative & business-focused attitude
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
