Senior Android Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Product design and development
• Specification and planning of new product modules and features
• Maintenance and introduction of high quality programming standards
• Keeping track of industry developments/standards and taking initiative to incorporate these into the company technologies
• Preparing and maintaining the development environment and guidelines for projects
• Source code control and review
• Presenting and discussing technology with customers in a competent manner and travelling on site if required

Experience & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience of professional software development
• Very good Java and C++ knowledge required
• Hands on experience in application development for Android platform
• Experience in coordinating project teams
• Ability to act as an Architect
• Very good English, both written and spoken

Advantageous Skills:

• Objective-C or C# knowledge
• Experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously
• Understanding of any Mobile OS platform - iOS, Windows Phone, Symbian, WebOS, MeeGo, Maemo, BlackBerry OS, Series40 or related technologies (e.g. Qt)
• Scrum or Kanban development method experience
