Welcome to the Market Risk Analytics team in the Markets & Treasury Financial Control unit that is the Middle Office function of Nordea. We add value by developing the market risk limit framework, by offering market risk expertise and developing tools to help our stakeholders to understand risks better, and by automating market risk processes. As a Senior Analyst, you’ll play a valuable role in ensuring that all material market risks are covered by appropriate limits and that cascading principles are closely followed.
What you’ll be doing:
- Driving periodic and ad hoc market risk limit reviews for Treasury Banking Book activities and proposing limits to respective risk committees
- Developing and optimizing our risk limit governance framework together with Front Office, 2LoD risk function and other stakeholders, ensuring good cordination
- Providing expertise to stakeholders on risk governance and other market risk topics
- Taking part in the design of analytical market risk tools
You’ll join an international team of risk experts with various backgrounds and skills. The role is based in Warsaw.

Your experience and background:
- 5+ years of experience working in the banking industry, preferably in a market risk role
- Good working knowledge of financial regulation, risk governnance and risk measurement, ideally from the Banking Book side (IRRBB etc.)
- Master’s degree in a relevant field, e.g. Economics, Finance, Engineering or Mathematics
- Excellent communication skills in English (professional level)
- Basic programming skills in SQL and Python are advantages
