Currently, for our client, a global production company that has recently launched its Shared Service Centre in Warsaw, we are urgently seeking candidates for the position of SAP Compliance Specialist – Substance Volume Tracking & Reach.
Responsibilities:
• Manage SAP functionality for substance volume tracking and REACH compliance,
• Manage implementation projects for new or modified SAP functionality for substance volume tracking and REACH compliance,
• Design SAP system functionality to support Environmental, Health, Safety & Product Regulatory areas such as global inventory quantity limitations and REACH compliance,
• Manage projects (with action plans and timelines) requiring both data management, functionality deployment and process development,
• Establish and maintain regulatory knowledge and expertise in global inventories and REACH with ability to interpret legislation into business processes and system functionality,
• Mine and extract regulatory data directly from SAP via Transactional Reports, Simple Queries and Complex Query functionality (SQVI) requiring table joins,
• Conduct regulatory data analysis to collaborate with and assist regulatory experts on applicability analysis and implementation of compliance programs,
• Develop reporting tools and execute periodic reporting for compliance assessments,
• Utilize MS Excel, MS Access and other data analysis tools to review / manipulate complex data.
Skills and abilities:
• BA or BS in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Toxicology or other science-based field,
• 5 - 7 years knowledge and experience in project management, process development and change leadership,
• 5 – 7 years experience monitoring and interpreting product regulatory requirements for hazard communication, or equivalent,
• 3 - 5 years knowledge of and experience with product regulatory requirements such as Global Chemical Inventories (TSCA, DSL, ENCS, etc,), Right-To-Know (California Proposition65, NJ/PA RTK, etc.) controlled chemicals (Drug Precursors, Chemical Weapon Precursors, Alcohols, Import/Export, etc.), chemical notification / registration requirements (REACH and other country-specific registrations),
• Must have experience or desire to learn defining system requirements and recommending both standard functionality or designing custom solutions
• Must be proficient with complex data manipulation and analysis in MS Excel and MS Access with large amounts of data.
