We are a Polish company that has been successfully delivering software to businesses around the world since 1999. Over 1.5 million people from all over the world have already used our products. Our offices are located across Europe, in US and Canada. Our headquarters is based on Arkonska Street in Gdansk, Poland, where we are running a team of over 200 employees here. We’re expanding our team to support our rapid growth and are looking for an experienced, talented professional for the role of:
- work with experienced team of software developers (our developers have a long-term experience with the Ruby on Rails technology, going back to the beginning of its establishment)
- possibility of applying the newest technological solutions (we take care of upgrading our applications to the newest Rails versions)
- possibility of developing acquired skills and acquiring the new ones (we take care of the quality of our code, we model and use the best solutions)
- extensive set of thematic literature (huge library of analogue books, extended according to the needs you submit ;))
- interesting and very complex projects (e.g. backend services operating on several servers, constituting unique solutions worldwide)
- attractive workstations and advanced infrastructural solutions (you may choose any platform you want to work, while 3/4 employees have selected new MacBook Pro products)
- interesting problems and issues requiring systemic solutions (our applications are not common websites, we produce systems performing much more complicated tasks)
- If you are a specialist and enthusiast in your area and want to join our team, we have some requirements. Your offer will convince us, if you have:
- good knowledge of Ruby
- good knowledge of MySQL
- basic knowledge of HTML and JavaScript
- understanding of concepts of object-oriented programming and design patterns
- love for programming, if programming is your passion, your chances are even greater
- natural curiosity and communication skills
- knowledge of English language to a degree allowing for free and easy reading of technical documentation
- knowledge of RubyOnRails, Sinatra or other frameworks (not only the Web ones)
- knowledge of C
- knowledge of another script language
- previous participation in open-source projects
- knowledge of Linux systems on the user level
