- Create & maintain accurate product specifications and bills of material within JTI's global SAP system in a timely manner according to specific instructions from various sources in combination with reference information in order to ensure the procurement of the correct materials
- Adhere to, and maintain, department-specific processes and related documentation, e.g. regular data quality checks
- Establish and maintain process documentation as required, e.g. team documents, reference data including machine specific material consumption information, etc.
- Identify and evaluate data & process gaps and information flow issues and reporting of same to line Manager
- Manage the product life cycle of materials and products (phase in/phase out)
- Create test data and undertake testing in support of system changes
- Provide on-the-job training and support to new colleagues as needed
- Ensure optimum information flow between the various R&D functions and the manufacturing plants in all aspects relating to product specifications
- Perform various tasks and projects as they arise and upon manager’s request
- Have a commercial education
- Experience in integrated manufacturing processes and knowledge of Bills of Material structure
- Understanding of the processes leading to the creation/changes of product specifications
- Good analytical and co-ordinational skills
- Well-developed IT literacy (proficiency in MS Office, knowledge of SAP or similar integrated system)
- Numerical affinity with high accuracy
- Ability to communicate concisely and clearly
- Team player attitude
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
