The role requires close collaboration with Engineering and Operations Units, as well as interaction with and reporting to peers, SMEs and line management across the regions. The role requires leadership, strong presentation and analysis skills, communication skills and ability to interact with Senior Management. Release Manager will ensure timely building and deploying of release packages. Responsibilities include:
- define and agree release plans (including scope, schedule and resources) with relevant stakeholders
- ensure that each release package consists of a set of compatible release units and service components & assets
- ensure integrity of all release package components throughout the transition activities and record them accurately in the CMS
- ensure release packages are tracked, tested and validated
- ensure adequate communication to relevant stakeholders
- ensure adequate release notes and timelines accordingly
- ensure regular Release Management meetings with relevant stakeholders
- ensure proper overview of all ongoing releases
- min 4 years of experience as Release Manager or Project Manager
- ability to design release schedules that ensure delivery of project/release in time and quality
- good general IT knowledge in the areas of operating systems, network and security
- strong time management, communication and negotiation skills, inclusive of ability to communicate with senior management
- strong thought leadership skills; ability to lead, advise and coordinate global workgroups
- global strategic mindset; ability to work across the regions and virtual teams
- understanding of financial management and cost determination
- understanding of ITIL methodology and process dependencies, certification will be a plus
- good knowledge in the area of process design; ability to create and read process maps
- good data analytics skills; ability to propose improvements based on KPIs trend analysis
- proficient English skills, German will be a plus
