As a newly opened and fast growing Shared Service Centre (SSC) we are looking for a Reinsurance Analyst to support our Catlin Re Switzerland Hub Operations.
You will perform cash allocation for premium and claims in respect of incoming and outgoing payments of assigned reinsurance accounts. Together with the team leader and Catlin Re Switzerland Hub Operations you will coordinate complex cash allocation matters. As a Reinsurance Analyst you will be supporting risk / premium and claims data analysis and reporting, including data quality control activities.

- Reviewing, reconciling and identifying incoming and outgoing payments and perform cash allocation for assigned brokers/clients
- Preparing and sending payment notifications and ensuring, in cooperation with Finance, on time payment performance towards the client
- Checking and booking bank charges, interests and taxes on deposits reported by brokers/cedants, assuring accuracy and integrity of the technical bookings in the ledger
- Electronically filing/uploading relevant transaction documentation, ensuring accurate and consistent labelling, and proper audit-trail of the risk and claims data allocated into the system
- Conducting data cleansing/refinement tasks, based on specified data quality control/’housekeeping’ reports
- Investigating inconsistencies, account discrepancies and related issues, and raising/resolving these in cooperation with the team leader and Catlin Re Hub Operations
- Monitoring third-party debtor balances (credit control/aged debt monitoring), proactively identifying debt positions to chase in accord with Technical Accounting
- Supporting risk data entry/administration in company system: enter risk data/business terms of new reinsurance transactions, based on contract documents (e.g. reinsurance slips/wordings), structured data files (e.g. model sheets, peer review forms), and supporting data entry guidelines
- Responding to queries raised by internal parties in a confident, timely and accurate manner
- University degree (or equivalent), preferably in a quantitative discipline (e.g. finance, accounting)
- 1-2 years professional experience in technical accounting/cash allocations
- Analytical approach, diligent and accurate working style, flair for numbers, attention to detail
- Team player skills with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive mindset: ability to work independently, demonstrating strong prioritisation and time management skills and delivering against tight deadlines
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong English language skills, additional European languages are a plus (e.g. Italian, Spanish, French, German)
