At the moment we are looking for talented candidates for the following role:
- Provide IT day to day support for the business unit aligned to the global IT strategy and technology roadmap
- Ensure that all local IT policies and procedures are complied with and participate in audits as necessary
- Measure and drive up usage of our systems to ensure that we are maximising the value of our systems or changing direction if not fit for purpose
- Represent the whole IT portfolio (which is varied and includes our Business systems such as HR, Finance and CRM) to the Business unit
- Manage the local IT equipment within the practice lifecycle (such as PC’s)
- Manage local suppliers of IT and telephony services to ensure we are receiving good service and costs are managed
- Ensure that regular training is provided on our IT systems to the business unit
- Work with the business unit BIM Manager / Directors to evaluate IT solutions that drive the business unit (and in turn the practice) ensuring compliance with and alignment to the wider IT strategy
- Represent the Business Unit in the Global IT Management meetings to shape the products we deliver balancing global need against local nuances
- 70% day to day support – ensuring support tickets are being resolved within SLA, acting as an escalation point and where appropriate dealing with support tickets
- Direct responsibility for all IT Systems provided by head office and Service specifically:
- communications (switch board, Wi-Fi, Email, Video Conferencing, Desktop Collaboration Tools, Telephones)
- devices and applications (Standardized Desktop, Virus Protection, Engineering Systems)
- infrastructure (cabling floor boxes, LAN/WAN, Systems hosting, Logon (AD), Network Services, Remote Working, Storage, Backup, Print),
- Service Desk (IT Helpdesk, Local 2nd Line Support, 3rd Line System/Application Support)
- IT hardware purchase & preparation for use
- 30% looking at how to improve both the technology and solutions and improving the service working with key stakeholders in the business unit.
- Relevant IT experience
- Great IT skills combined with a commercial mindset
- Fluency in English (working in the international environment)
- Strong decision making skills
- Understanding of complex information and requirements
- Excellent organisational, analytical and problem solving skills
- Good prioritisation skills and be flexible enough to adapt plans
- Ability to explain complex systems in simple terms without the use of acronyms
- An ability to work to tight deadlines and within constraints
- Experience of leadership and mentoring junior staff
