The Regional Head of Software is responsible for establishing and maintaining an environment where agile delivery teams are provided with the tools, freedom and responsibility to achieve their team goals, aligned to the strategic vision of the organization.
Acting as a mentor to technology professionals across a number of disciplines and skill levels, you will be an
advocate for continuous learning and provide an environment where it is possible to achieve the highest levels of personal and group performance. Passionate, innovative and with excellent communication skills, you will be a focal point for technology both internally and externally.

Job description
- Establish and maintain a safe working environment where agile delivery teams can focus on delivering market-leading products without ‘friction or distraction’, catering not just for development activities but also for broader product inceptions, workshops and internal/external events.
- Assist the agile delivery teams in recruiting technology professionals who will help advance the products, the organization and their peers, perfectly matching the team and organization’s culture
- Act as a mediator and conflict resolution expert when challenges arise between people within the local organization.
- Ensure agile delivery teams are working sustainably and are carefully balancing their work responsibilities with their life responsibilities.
- Be a mentor to younger professionals, encouraging new learning opportunities to ensure they are meeting their professional and personal goals.
- Regularly meet with representatives from the specialist on-site communities (such as product, agility, quality and engineering) to understand and help to eliminate challenges, and ensuring the communities are healthy.
- Actively participate in cross-site improvement team experiments, identifying potential innovative experiments that will help the company achieve its vision
- Arrange and encourage active participation at regular on and off-site events (meet-ups, conferences) that help bring different technology communities together, ensuring that the company’s brand is well recognized and respected in the local market.
Requirements
Ideal Background:
- Excellent leadership and facilitation skills, with a demonstrable history of operating with large agile environments.
- Superb conflict resolution skills, with an ability to empathically gauge situations and diffuse tension through understanding and addressing peoples needs.
- Deep agile expertise, ideally gained from a product development background which spans across Lean, Kanban, UX, Scrum and XP.
- Able to provide strong financial and credit market insight, having a background in the consumer lending industry
- A passion for serving the customer, with a deep understanding of B2B and B2C
- Strong desire for and knowledge of business strategy, customer insight, technology platforms, especially digital and mobile technologies
- A transformative mindset, willing to experiment and innovate in pursuit of achieving ever greater operational excellence.
