Currently the center is seeking candidates for the position:
Key Responsibilities and General Accountabilities:
- Ensuring correct and daily execution of key responsibilities in the Financial Shared Service Center according to the requirements of the Group Accounting Manual for specific area of responsibility (General Ledger)
- Set up and supervise the SSC R2R team
- Coach team members, set goals, evaluate skill development, develop individual action plans and train team as needed
- Issue resolution for service area
Day to day operations in the general ledger area:
- Prepare/validate automatic GL-postings
- Prepare manual GL-postings
- Reconciling of balance sheet and general ledger accounts
- Determine accruals and prepayments at month end close
- Execute general accounting period-end routines in accordance with defined period-end checklists and service level agreements
- Process period-end adjustments and accruals
- Perform general ledger close process
- Execute period-end checklists
- Capitalize and maintain fixed assets
- Update Fixed Asset Registry as necessary
- Perform regular bank reconciliations
- Adherence to service levels, policies and procedures
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read, write and communicate in German and English in a business setting
- Leadership experience is beneficial
- Profound knowledge in the use of SAP FI through proven work experience
- Experience in transitioning accounting activities into a SSC (creation of desktop procedures, work shadowing, etc.) is beneficial
- Complete familiarity with Microsoft Office or equivalent tools
- Excellent understanding and experience with VAT processing
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to pay close attention to detail
- Ability/willingness to travel
- Good Communication skills
- Team player, highly motivated and flexible
- Ability to work with other cultures
