R&D Director
Place of work: Starogard Gdański (optionally Warsaw)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reporting to Vice President Global R&D, POLPHARMA
- Lead and manage a team of circa 100 well educated and skilled individuals from preformulation, formulation and analytical R&D, as well as scale up functions in the R&D department
- Work closely with Procurement API, project management R&D, intellectual property, regulatory affairs, bio equivalence group - to secure legal compliance while enabling to develop competitive product portfolio
- Participate in working out product development strategy
- Build strategic partnership and long term relations with business partners to assure best competitive offers
- Develop proposal for medium and short term business plan in the area of product supply (including own development, in-licensing and out-licensing)
- Coordinate all activities related to acquiring and managing receptive know-how, new technologies and methodologies
- Support recommendation and realization of development and optimization plan supporting overall strategy aiming at efficiency increase based on adequate efforts
- Identify change opportunities, process flow bottle-neck finding followed with process design recommendations and priority directions
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master or Ph. D. Degree in Pharmaceutical sciences or equivalent
- At least 15 years of generic pharma R&D experience with at least 7 years managerial experience of R&D function
- Deep knowledge of research & development and commercialization of conventional oral solids, controlled oral drug delivery is a must
- Additional knowledge of liquid oral solutions, liquid ophthalmic and sterile dosage forms is of high advantage
- Knowledge in inhalers, depot injections, transdermal or any other novel drug delivery system will be considered as potential advantage
- Excellent interpersonal, communication skills (Fluency in English written & spoken),
- Result oriented team player and good motivator with business sense and understanding of commercial urgency
- Good knowledge of GMP, IP, analytical, bio equivalence, regulatory and project management functions
