Responsibility:
- Leading a quality and laboratory team up to 8 FTE’s in an effective and efficient manner;
- Leading continuous improvement of quality systems to prevent defects, reduce process variation and eliminate waste;
- Driving quality costs down by determining the most efficient cost effective way to make the products;
- Managing vendor and customer claim processes;
- Directing and motivating employees to create a high quality team environment;
- Educating employees to make sound processing and raw material selection decisions by working on the shop floor as needed;
- Providing leadership for team-based problem solving efforts in response to customer complaints and internal waste and rework issues;
- Determining and defining quality scope and objectives;
- Ensuring the quality projects are completed on time and within budget;
- Predicting and designing resources, preparing budgets, monitoring progress and keeping stakeholders posted the entire time;
- Improving plant EH&S, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People Performance by implementing state of the art solutions;
- Creating value through employee engagement in CI processes;
- Creating and ensuring safety work environment (LOTO, ZERO ACCIDENTS);
- Managing and ensuring full compliance in relation to daily operational requirements of SAP and other quality systems;
- Setting requirements for raw materials or intermediate products for suppliers and monitoring their compliance;
- Devising and reviewing specifications for products or processes;
- Understanding customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes;
- Understanding the requirements for the product/service and have a sense of responsibility towards our potential and existing customers as well as the competition;
- Inspecting the final product to make sure it has been built with compliance to legal standards and meets customer expectations;
- Overseeing all product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards;
- Keeping accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis;
- Solicit feedback from customers to assess and improve quality standards;
- Submitting detailed reports to appropriate executives;
- Beeing on the lookout for opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures;
- Planning and initiating supplier development initiatives for Supplier Quality improvement;

- Weekly project reporting at local management team level and as input for the Divisional Board.

Requirements:
- 5+ years in the position Quality Manager with proven background (preferably in automotive);
- Strong familiarity with quality management techniques (FMEA, 8D), methodologies (DMAIC, DCDV), and best practices;
- Strong customer service skills;
- Proven Lean Manufacturing experience is essential;
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification is a plus;
- Continuous Improvement processes and WCM standards become the norm.
